Jin Yong’s death, why is the mainland’s mournful Hong Kong people indifferent?

On the evening of the 30th, at the main entrance of the Hong Kong Yanghe Hospital, a group of media reporters with long guns and short guns gathered quietly.
.
Many celebrities such as Cai Yuanpei, Zhong Rongguang, Lin Yanni and Anita Mu are leaving here. This time, the reporters came here for the martial arts novel master Jin Yong. In the afternoon, 94-year-old Jin Yong died in the hospital.
Yanghe Hospital is Hong Kong's top private hospital.
At 21 o'clock in the evening, the first batch of hot articles from the media in the Mainland have been fermented in the network. Although the first time the news was released by the Hong Kong media, compared with the mainland media, the focus of Hong Kong media coverage was mainly on the review of Mr. Jin Yong’s life.
From the moment the news is confirmed, the abundance and intensity of public opinion in the Mainland far exceeds Hong Kong: from the famous sentence of Mr. Jin Yong to his rich life, from the characters in the novel to the enlightenment to the sentient beings. Just as its work has produced enormous derivative value, the mainland public opinion on the evening of the 30th seems to have been unable to circumvent Jin Yong.
Under the line of Hong Kong, the city where Jin Yong spent most of his life, at the same time, seemed to be a bit extraordinarily calm: in the market in Mong Kok, there was basically no word for "Jin Yong" in the words of the reporters. When the reporter’s taxi driver heard the news, he was only slightly surprised: “Is it? I like watching movies in his novels.” Then there was silence for a while. It was not until the radio broadcasted the news that he spoke again: "Oh, (news) has it."
When the Global Times reporter just arrived at the Yanghe Hospital, he saw a slightly embarrassing scene: the reporter was busy or sitting in a chair, and the hospital had made it clear that there would be no news released that night. The staff in the hospital hall were very vigilantly staring at the reporter's every move. They didn't seem to understand why the reporters were reluctant to leave even if they knew that there would be no news. The patients and their families who came in and out of the door looked back from time to time. Question marks, most of them still do not know the news of Jin Yong's death.

On the evening of the 30th, the hospital and the hospital did not find Jin Yongshu fans, and the pictures of the fans who came to mourn were the great expectations of the reporters staying in the hospital. "Come on, come on, work still has to do." Camera brother has begun to set up lights, debugging machines, young reporters in the back of the field, an older reporter next to him: "pay attention to the expression, not to laugh !
The Hong Kong Museum of Culture, located in Sha Tin, opened in 2016. The opening remarks written by Mr. Jin Yong were also referred to by the media as “the last time to submit a pen”.
The walls and pillars at the entrance of the museum are full of characters in Jin Yong's martial arts novels. The children look at these "freaks" and understand them. A fat primary school student first asked the reporter:
"Where are you from?"
"We are from Beijing, have you been to Beijing?"
"Of course I have been there!" The little fat man looked very proud: "I like it very much."
Next, the reporter began to launch an "offensive": "Have you heard of Mr. Jin Yong?"
"Because I was very young when I went to Beijing, I have never heard of him."

For middle school students, Jin Yong’s recognition is significantly higher. Jianye from Chen Zhenxia Middle School believes that Mr. Jin Yong’s work is worthy of handed down from generation to generation. Today, there are not many people who come to the “Jinyong Hall” to mourn. It may be because everyone I have to go to work, and I am also a chance to come here to commemorate. When asked if he had talked to a friend about this topic, he said that his classmates did not pay much attention.
"I remember that many years ago, Leslie Cheung passed away. Many fans gathered in the hospital to mourn, but I haven't seen it yet. It may or may not happen in a few days." Mr. Yin said that many Hong Kong people are less and less talked about "feelings." "Reading a book to a very late situation is no longer common."
